Acrostic Poem

                                     WALT write an Acrostic poem

Sitting on the seat
At all times you must have a helmet on
Fast can be dangerous if you don’t have good brakes
Excellent biking and keeping safe

Crossing the road safely
Yes I did stop at the stop sign
Cycling is fun
Lights on my bike is for my safety
Intersections can be dangerous
NP means no parking
Going biking is good for exercise

Going Docking

                             Going Docking
"Yay" I shouted in the car. We were going docking in Taihape. Docking is when you cut off the lambs tails.
“Mum are we nearly there yet” She said happily, "Only 5 minutes left. ”
Finally we were at the farm in Taihape. It was about 5.30pm when we there.

The next day we had to get up at 6.00am in the morning to go to the woolshed and start docking which is work. But first we had to wait for everyone to come. Finally, they arrived so we could start work right away. The first thing we did was set up all the equipment . And then we hopped on the motorbike and chased the lambs into the paddock.

We started lifting the lambs into the lamb slide so we could cut of the lambs tails. My Uncle Hemi squirted lamb blood at my face and even some got in my mouth. It was so yuck that i just had to say "Ooooooooooooo yuck, uncle Hemi."
It was the worst thing that had ever happened to me at the farm.
Any way after that  we had to pack up and go home because it started to rain a little bit and it was getting way too cold for all of us kids. We went home and the next day we went back to work.
REFLECTION
What I found tricky was? The thing that made it tricky was knowing where to put the full stops.
One thing I got better with was adding paragraphs and adding full stops.
What helped to get better was reading through my writing.
Next time I will add more detail in my writing

Riana’s Reflection Learning Muscles
Pinenga’s  Reflection
  • The learning muscles that I used where my collaboration muscle collaborating with my buddy and talking to her about what our next step was.
  • Another learning muscle was my managing distraction muscles because there were boys around me so I just had to try and distract them and move on.
  • I also had to use my persevering muscle to keep on trying and to never give up and also to persevere.

  • The learning muscles I used where managing distractions. Because when the boys were talking to me sometimes I will listen and if it’s something silly I will move  away from the person that was talking to 1me.
  • Another learning muscle I used was my collaboration because when my buddy was talking to me about the next step to do.

Paralympic Day

                              Paralympic Day Kauri 12/11

Kauri 12/11 had a Paralympic Day. It was so fun. For the Paralympic day we did  games that are similar  to the   Paralympics like Shot Put in there on  chair ,  and blind folded running. The Paralympic games started at 10.00 or 9.00 o clock and we finished around  12.45 or 1.00 o clock. it was beater for me to work well.the hard thing for me was probably the shot put because it was quit hard to throw the ball. And the easy thing for me was probably the blind folded running.  thank you Mrs Lowe, Mr Kenny, Mrs Miller And Mr Ford and the young leaders for organizing the Paralympic day thank you.
